Why LinkedIn for the laundry trade

Commercial laundry is a relationship business. The facilities director, the property management company and the multi-unit operator are all on LinkedIn, and so are the manufacturers and dealers you work with. A steady, credible presence keeps you in mind for the moment they need a new provider.

What to post

  • Installs: before-and-after photos of a laundry room or laundromat refit, with the customer’s permission.
  • Equipment: new models you carry and what they mean for a buyer, in plain language.
  • People: your technicians, sales reps and the work they do.
  • Events: training sessions, open houses and trade shows, before and after.
  • Useful advice: answers to the questions customers ask your team every week.

Use it for events

LinkedIn works well for event registrations. Announce early, post a reminder a week out and the day before, and share photos afterwards. Link every post to a simple registration page. We use this pattern for Onnera Group’s distributor open house series.

How often

Consistency beats volume. Two or three good posts a week from your company page, plus your team sharing them, is plenty for most distributors.

Reply to everything

Comments and messages are conversations with potential customers. Reply quickly and helpfully. It’s also where problems surface, so treat it as customer care.
